non sequiturs du jour

today is humongous caterpillar day

i've seen at least three of them. this morning while jogging i saw the largest caterpillar i have ever seen in my life, including in national geographic. it had the girth of an uncooked hot dog and was about 4 to 5 inches long. its green exterior looked like an oversized suit of armor from which a little pink face poked out.
