something weird just happened to me ...

i was walking down massachusetts ave. heading toward work, and i saw two guys standing on the sidewalk, one with a mike and one with a camera. the one with the mike stopped me and said, i'm a television reporter, and i've been interviewing people regarding president bush's support for a ban on same-sex marriage. would you mind if i asked you a question? he had very blond hair and very blue eyes, and there was something creepy about those eyes - very blue with unnaturally narrow pupils. he reminded me of vigo, the villain from ghostbusters II.

me: okay ..
vigo: what's your name?
me: (give my name)
vigo: what do you think of bush's support for a ban on same-sex marriage?
me: i think it's a terrible idea, but that it will hurt bush in the end.
vigo: interesting. do you support same-sex marriage?
me: i support equal rights for gay people and straight people.
vigo: (more insistently) but do you support same-sex marriage?
me: yes, definitely yes.
vigo: thank you.

it wasn't until i was walking away that i realized that he never told me what t.v. station he worked for, nor was there any identifying information on the camera guy. then i started to get creeped out. was he going to use me for some anti-gay t.v. show? i'll keep you posted.
