jobhunting is a lot like dating.

you perfect your lines about your past and what you have to offer. you learn how to respond to every situation. you buy new outfits and accessories. you shave your legs.

sometimes you make intial contact with an organization and then they just blow you off. sometimes you make it to an interview, and then things go horribly and you go home crying. sometimes you think things went really well, and then you never hear from them again. sometimes you get strung along. sometimes you get your hopes up, and sometimes you're so jaded that you're sure you'll never find a job again. and sometimes you click with the most unexpected people.

the only advantage jobhunting has over dating is that you can have a wonderful boyfriend supporting you every step of the way.
